Sylpheed User's Manual

As is stated on the FAQ page, FAQ is a starting point for the Sylpheed documentation. If you are searching for a quick answer to your Sylpheed-related question, you should look there first. Then, there is the Sylpheed User's Manual that, depending on the spare time and courage of our writers and translators, we continually build and improve. As with FAQ, translations in many different languages are also provided.

Current versions

The following current versions of the User's Manual are available online (for the list of different User's Manual versions and translations available on Internet, you can also see the User's Manual itself):

  • View the multi-page HTML version (the version usually distributed with Sylpheed)
  • View the single-page HTML version (not available now)
  • View the PDF version (not available now)

Older versions

Also, the following older (and thus outdated) revisions of the User's Manual intended for Sylpheed version 0.8.10 (or 0.7.3 respectively) are available. It continues to be online largely for reference reasons as it is quite unlikely that the Sylpheed version as old as 0.8.10 (or 0.7.3 respectively) is still in use nowadays.

Other languages

Please note that as of Summer 2010, the only up-to-date version of the User's Manual is the English and Japanese one. All other language versions of the User's Manual are merely outdated and intended for Sylpheed 0.8.10 or earlier. Translators who can update the currently available language versions or contribute a new translation are always welcome. Please see the "Contribution" links if you are interested.
